DE ARQUEOLOGIAS Y OTRAS AGUAS.

RESUMEN: Debo ser sincera: al llevar algún tiempo ya dedicándome a esta actividad de definición imprecisa que llamamos arqueología, creí haber arribado a una serie de conclusiones inamovibles - cercanas a la verdad revelada- con respecto a la profesión. Quiero decir: sólidos y firmes principios que supuse se aplicarían a cualquier tipo de trabajo arqueológico, y que me acompañarían siempre evitando que me perdiera por ahí. ¡Nunca en mi vida la había pifiado tanto!. Algo que aprendí enseguida, en el curso de mi primera campaña de arqueología subacuática, fue que estaba pisando un territorio realmente desconocido -léase: que el agua había empezado a subir y que yo, más que nadar, me estaba embarrando-. "Esta" arqueología seguía siendo arqueología, pero definitivamente yo no estaba preparada para lo que me esperaba.

SUMMARY:
I should be sincere: when taking some time being devoted to this activity of imprecise definition that we call archaeology, I already believed to have arrived to a series of fixed conclusions - near to the revealed truth - with regard to the profession. I mean: solids and sign principles that I supposed they would be applied to any type of archaeological work, and that they would always accompany me avoiding that I got lost somewhere around. Never in my life it had messed up her so much!. Something that I learned at once, in the course of my first campaign of underwater archaeology, was that was stepping a really unknown territory -s: that the water had begun to ascend and that me, more than to swim, I was getting involved -. "This" archaeology continued being archaeology, but definitively I was not prepared for what waited for me.
